EVENTS AND TECHNICAL CONCLUSION, BUDAPEST, AUGUST 2014

The final technical event for the seminars on "Public Procurement Control in order to strengthen the capacity of ex-ante and integrated controls for the detection and elimination of possible cases of irregularities and fraud", organized in the framework of the European Union Program - Hercules II 2007 - 2013, took place in the period 27-29 August 2014 at Hotel Zara Continental in Budapest. The event was attended by an IPA auditor from the Audit Body, as well as representatives from the National Fund Sector, the Sector for Central Financing and Contracting within the Ministry of Finance and the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia. The purpose of the activity was to summarize the experiences gained from the past seminars held in July 2014. Representatives of the countries participating in the seminars Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania and Turkey participated with their presentations on "What can be implemented based on the experience of previous seminars." In addition, a workshop was organized entitled "How to establish the system in the period after EU accession based on previously held seminars." In addition, by a public procurement expert within The Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary presented the difficulties encountered in aligning Hungarian legislation with the EU in terms of public procurement. Experiences from the control of public procurement by the European Commission were presented by an auditor from the European Commission - DG REGIO.
